Has anyone been able to get a uugetty running on an AV 300 series machine? When I put the following in my /etc/inittab, I get a uugetty process that hangs off of terminal '?' and not from tty01. # Entry in inittab to spawn uugetty instead of getty on tty01 uucp:3:respawn:/usr/lib/uucp/uugetty -t 60 -r tty01 9600 network # My modem is a MultiTech 224E that has a fixed '9600 baud to host no matter what speed the incoming call is' setting that I am currently using. When I spawn a getty with the following lines, everything works OK inbound, but I can't call out... # Entry in inittab to spawn getty on tty01 tty1:3:respawn:/usr/sbin/getty tty01 9600 network # I am currently running DG/UX 4.20 with 'DG/UX Patch Kit 4.20.00.20' installed. Any ideas on this? Data General, you out there?? -abc -- __ _ / // \ Matrix Alan B.
