I'm interested in the 5069 VME Vector Processor Board from Data General. Nobody in germany (DG staff included) can give me detailed information about the functionality and options coming with this board. The two side product overview said nothing about: -the main processor (i860 I've heard - MAP400 from SPI) -the low level programming tools (assembler, debugger, simulator) -is the DG/UX integration available now -C-Compiler cross or native I have a clear understanding from what I get when I buy a SKYbold i860 board. But a configution like AV400 with 5069 is much cheaper than a Sun 4/330 with SKYbold. I'm interested in any information about the 5069 board. Currently we have a VLIW compiler project and are interested in machines with the Motorola 88000, Intel i860 and IBM RS/6000 (no clones please :-). With the AV400/5069 solution we can catch two flies, but we need it now. Thanks for your information.
