The title just about says it all. We are looking for recommendations for ICE's for an 88K CPU. I'll look at anything... E-Mail preferred, I'll summarize if enough interest. Andrew L. The Norwegian company VMEtro sells an analyzer for 680x0 and 88000 CPU's for a fraction of the cost an ICE would cost you. The product is named PMA-030. The same company also makes a VMEbus analyzer. I'll look at anything... > The only ICE I remember hearing of was announced in an article in Electronic Design (1/26/89) by Hilevel Technology, 31 Irvine Dr, Irvine CA 92718. Phone number (714) 727-2100. The system supposedly worked by controlling the signals to and from the MMU's. Continuous wait states effectively halted the processor. Jamming load or store instructions allowed access to the state of the registers. I have not heard of this device since that article. Unless someone can correct my guess, I suspect it never made it to market. ----- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - ----- ----- jeff kenton: consulting at jkenton@pinocchio.encore.com ----- ----- until 11/30/90 -- always at (617) 894-4508 ----- ----- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -----
