Dear Ladies and Gentlemen Readers: I have the following problem that I wonder if you could possibly help me with in terms either of hints or where to look or read up. I have been given the task of trying to write a program that will accumulate stats on the usage of medical databases (e.g., number of attempts made to find references, how many of these were successful, etc.). This program, to be writ- ten on an IBM-PC:AT with PC-DOS release 3.10) however has to work in conjunction with (and inside of) the database packages in question (Medline, PsycLIT) and this could (I understand) be quite hard to do (e.g., trapping on operating sys- tem commands, especially when accessing the CDs that are involved in the access- ing of these databases - that`s where they're stored). Any and all information telling me where to look (or has this kind of thing been done before?) would be most welcome! Many thanks in advance! [P.S., sorry if this article appears in the wrong newsgroups - those who would like to suggest which newsgroups would be optimal are welcome to do so. Also, can you please e-mail any and all responses - it certainly would help! Again, many thanks!] Alexander Damyanovich -- -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- | "I run to Death and Death meets me as fast, and all my pleasures are like | | yesterday" - John Donne | --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
