On the fourth day of the next flight of the Discovery, Spartan 1 will be deployed by the RMS. Floating 100 miles away from the shuttle, it will peer towards the galactic centre and probe for a possible black hole there, measuring X-ray emmissions. Then, on the 6th day of the mission, the satellite will be picked up to be returned to Earth for a future flight.
