I took to plunge this afternoon and called a BBS at the University of
Sascatchawan ('scuse the probably atrocious spelling), and I've acquired
two rather nive utilities.
The first is called DESKTOP. Its a utility which is both a screen
saver (with a feature similar ot a screen saver some of you may have
seen on a common Mac screen saver (bouncing lines/stars/circles/etc)), and
more importantly, a screen loader for GIFs and BitMaps. When you run it,
you can specify a single GIF or Bitmap file for display in the DeskTop window
of PM (the normally plain gray background), or you can specify a directory
, which results in it picking a GIF or Bitmap from that directory at random.
The second is a PM GIF displayer, which is not the best displayer I've
seen, but does run as a PM window.
Anyway, UUENCODED mailings of the two ZIP files will follow this letter.
