I seem to have found an interesting way to crash IBM 1.1 EE (no corrective service applied) on my Bell Tech 16Mhz 386. I hope that this is a problem with my hardware but others may want to try. Three things are required: 1. Disk activity (a .CMD file repeatedly running chkdsk or tree is fine) 2. Another source of interrupts (a .CMD file repeatedly copying a file to COM1 is fine--I had COM1 set to 9600 baud for this test) 3. DOS box in the foreground Within a few seconds of switching to the DOS box, the machine reboots. Dan Lanciani ddl@harvard.*
