I often thought about doing the port myself, but I just don't have the time. I would like this because I think that OS/2 is better able to handle TeX than DOS is. I don't like having to reboot my PC from a floppy just so that I can leave enough free RAM to load DOSTEX. I'd be interested in knowing any efforts that others may be making in this direction. Is LaTeX available for OS/2?

I have a TeX compiler for OS/2 and INITeX too. It runs well with the Texinput of my PC-TeX except SliTeX. But I do not have a DVI Previewer and DVI driver for 24pin-Printers to use with the PC-TeX fonts. Does anybode else have such DVI programs ? If there is enough interest, I could post the TEX and INITEX programs to this news group. Kai Uwe Rommel Munich rommel@lan.informatik.tu-muenchen.dbp.de
