In looking into OS/2, I have been sorely frustrated by the default file system. What I really am looking for is a file system that adheres to POSIX not only in file and directory names but also with respect to file attributes. To what extent does the HPFS address this, and are there other Installable File Systems that would better fill my needs ?? In large part, this really is addressing the reality that OS/2 and its default file system really doesn't meet the needs of a lot of us and while we might not demand a full multiuser system, we sure want a single-user environment a lot closer to what workstation OSs have. Yes I know that OS/2 isn't UNIX and I'm not asking it to be -- I do want more than OS/2 seems to have right now. Ran rja@edison.CHO.GE.COM
