comp.binaries.os2 status:
1) All USENET binaries groups must be moderated.
It is a USENET rule.
2) No one has said they are willing to moderate the group
3) Posting binaries in comp.os.os2 is rude.
Proposal:
There CAN be an unmoderated OS/2 binaries group as long as it
isn't in regular USENET. If anyone who really wants such a group
can talk their news administrator into issuing a "newgroup" command
with Distribution: alt, a group named ALT.BINARIES.OS2 can be
created and used.
A quick reminder that sources postings should be made to comp.sources.misc
so that they will be automatically archived and so that they don't overwhelm
the smaller UUCP sites that can't afford such large postings. The moderator
of comp.sources.misc has explicitly stated that he will accept OS/2
postings.
I am still looking for a moderator for comp.binaries.os2, but if no one
volunteers then the group won't happen.
