I haven't seen this one before, so here goes:
I have a 386 on which I run both U*NIX and up to now DOS. I have two hard
disks, drive 0 is a 100 meg volume, split into 10 meg DOS and 90 meg U*IX
partitions. drive 1 is a 60 meg volume dedicated to DOS.
Yesterday I installed IBM OS/2 1.1 w/ PM. Apart from the IBM install
insisting on putting everything on C:, everything went OK, but...
I really want to boot on the C: drive, switch to D: and run everything on D:.
So I copied the entire OS2 directory tree to the D: drive, modified config.sys
to point everything to D: rebooted, and then deleted the OS2 tree on C:.
Everything but OS2/DLL/IBM4201.DRV, which the OS wouldn't let me move; said
it was in use.
So, n questions:
1) How do I get OS2 to automatically switch to D: after booting?
(I used to do this in DOS by having D: as the last entry in my
AUTOEXEC.BAT file, the D: in the OS2 AUTOEXEC doesn't do it, nor does
a D: in CONFIG.SYS)
2) How do I get OS2 to recognize/use D:OS2/DLL/IBM4201.DRV rather than
the one on C:?
3) How do I get the disk cache to work on D: rather than C:?
(Again, I could set this in DOS with an option on the disk cache)
4) I probably have more, I just can't think of them right now.
Chewey, get us outta here!
