I've recently decided to try OS2 on the machine I'm building up. I am using an AMI mk-II 386-25 w/ 64k cache and the adaptek 1542 scsi controller. Having just joined this news group, I haven't read any messages except the last 20 or so. One of those, about the Western Digital card, talked about recent discussions about the adaptek card. I recently downloaded the material available via anonymous uucp from adaptex. None of those files discussed OS2. Would a kind soul fill me in on the result of the previous discussion. If a third party driver is available, who has it for sale. And, if adaptec has a driver, should I go directly to them or through a distributor? Thanks for your patience. Here is Kai from Germany, i have the same problem, how to ru OS/2 with an adaptec 154X host adapter, if there is any driver available please inform me. dont send mail above 20k because ist is very expensive to receive mail here in germany. Thank allot Kai

An OS/2 driver for the 1542a is available from ADAPTEC. The driver
works with OS/2 version 1.1 for sure (I've used it). It probably will
work with version 2.0. I'm not sure that it will work with version 1.2
because the 1.2 drivers are bundled together.
