[comp.os.os2] Writing extensions for Microsoft Editor

Hi, has anybody written extensions for Microsoft ME editor under os/2?
I just compiled the example they had in the MSC5.1 manual, which supposed
to convert all characters in a text argument to upper case.  The extension
seems to be loading up fine, but when I try to executed it, I get 
protection violation, which is of course traped by the os and the editor 
crashes.  The trap error is 13.
