I'm just starting to write an OS/2 non-booting SCSI device driver so I can use my SCSI drive. Right now I'm limited to using the MFM drive unless running real DOS. I've got lots of materials (books, etc...) but I still *love* to see a real DMA capable example of a block device driver before diveing in (tho dive I will). If you have such code and can send source I'd love to receive it. Second item. Does anyone have the technical layout of the HPFS? I've looked in my Microsoft book that came with the PM toolkit and nothing is described. Of course all the books I have don't even know about OS/2 1.2 or IFS's. Does anyone have an electronic version of a HPFS reference or structures/layout? I *THINK* I need it for my device driver because it must return information in the boot block about the file system (like volume name, and starting directory block, etc.). This would be old hat under the FAT FS. But I have no idea what to look for in an HPFS boot block and what to do with it when I found it. I know everything has been tossed with the HPFS. Any help (maybe the C structure equivlents) would be appreciated. cheers, Jeff Gortatowsky -- Jeff Gortatowsky-Eastman Kodak Company .....sun!sunrock!kodak!elmgate!jdg (716)-726-0084 Eastman Kodak makes film not comments. I also would be interested in receiving any available HPFS internals documentation. -- Phone: (home) 219-482-9631 E-mail: feustel@well.sf.ca.us {ucbvax, apple, hplabs, pacbell}!well!feustel USMAIL: Dave Feustel, 1930 Curdes Ave, Fort Wayne, IN 46805
