[comp.os.os2] OS/2 - Internal Processing Error

david@metapyr.UUCP (David Relson) (05/31/90)

I am running OS2 v 1.2 syslevel 4020 (the 11/89 version) on a AT class 386.
I was having some problems with overheating (since fixed) and was getting
regular "Internal Processing Error" faults from OS2. To be more specific,
the machine would halt, clear the screen, and say:

	Internal Processing
	Error at <address>

where <address> was one of 0210:7849, 0220:3493, 0228:841E, 4C84:5A74.
Sometimes there would also be a 386 register dump (all of them).

Each of these addresses occurred multiple times (a partial log shows only
these four addresses in 20 occurrences). The 0210, 0220, and 0228 errors
occurred after OS2 had been running and the 4C84 errors only occurred while
the system was booting up.

Does anyone know what an "Internal Processing Error" is?

Does anyone know the significance of the addresses? (Why only these few?
Why not random addresses?)

Does anyone know where to find documentation for unusual happenings such as
these?

Thank you all for whatever information you can send me.
