After the very favorable response to my first message, I will be buying OS/2 and probably using it be late June. I now have several other questions that I can't seem to get answered. First, will Turbo C run in the dos session (both the integrated environment and the standalone compiler)? If not does will the programs created by it (if the compiler is run under MSDOS) run in the DOS box? Second, what would be a good choice of compilers for learning Presentation Manager? I have heard that there is a Modula-2 compiler for about $100 that will let you create PM compatible code, is this true? And, If I get really rich, will Microsoft C 6.0 create PM code, WITHOUT any addons? And lastly, where are the archives sites for OS/2 sources and binaries? I have bitnet and internet access, but prefer to use Anonymouse FTP on the internet. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Jon Leonard leonard@h.cs.wvu.wvnet.edu

Yes, Turbo C works fine in the Dos box; of course the programs it produces only run in the Dos box. >... >And, If I get really rich, will Microsoft >C 6.0 create PM code, WITHOUT any addons? MS C6.0 does contain all the headers etc & toold you *must have* to develop PM code. If you buy the Softset you also get some PM tools like dialog box editor and font editor, etc. The Developer's toolkit also contains printed and online documentation. For OS/2 archives, try LISTSERV AT BLEKUL11 (OS-2 List) on Bitnet/Earn. In the PM Softset, you'll also find lots of sample prgms w/sources... Hope this helps, -Joel Armengaud
