I only ask this here becuase I suspect it *might* be a hardware device. Listed in the MacProducts ad on the same page as a bunch of hardware devices is something called SmartCache. Does anyone have one? Does it work well? Is it truly a hardware device (some sort of plug in between the SCSI port and the SCSI device)? It is entirely possible that this beast is just another software cache (in which case I'm not interested), but it's certainly ambiguous in the ad.
