[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Hackintosh Problem

marc@lakesys.lakesys.com (Marc Rassbach) (10/25/89)

I came into ownership of a 2.5 meg enhance 512k motheboard not too long ago.

In the spirit of the original Apple, I'm trying to make the motherboard work
with a normal b/w monitor. What I have is this:
Levco 2 meg expansion board
512k mac motherboard
Computer Shopper Aug '89
Samsung MZ 4571

What my montior displays after modification as per the computer shopper articl
is 4 seperate mac screens that will stay stable on the screen for 1/2-1 second,
then roll to the left/right,{ slow up, stop, and loop 'till I kill the Power
Supply.

Changes/errors in the shopper article:
The atricle states a 6.8uF cap. They recommend a 3.3uF ELECTROLYTIC. The
original is a Non-Polarized cap. (hmmmmmm)

Ok, now here's the questions:
1) Have any of you tried this?
2) If yes to 1, did you get it to work?
3) Does anyone have the net.address for Les Hall, the author of the
    series in Computer Shopper?
4) Does anyone have a good idea? (besides buying a Mac from Apple...)

Please respond via e-mail as:
1) I do not read this group.
2) Most everyone else here can afford a mac, and doesn't need to scrounge
    Hamfests for Mac parts.

Thanks.

"I can't C with my AI closed" is your problem, not mine!
If it was said on UseNet, it must be true.
