Anybody out there using an Apple color monitor alongside an Apple full page display? If so, how many kilometers of separation do you use to eliminate the very annoying interference jitter? A friend of mine has such a setup and can't find any acceptable separation or angle. [ This is with a IIci running the color monitor off the internal video driver. ] Has anyone heard of any sort of shield that helps the situation? We found that a large sheet of mu-metal positioned between the monitors helped but did not cure the problem. A workable shield would probably have to wrap around one or the other of the monitors and still provide cooling and not look too ugly. Larry Hutchinson, Tektronix, Inc. I have a Mac II with a 19 in. Sony monitor and Apple's color monitor about 1 in. apart. I put a 24 in. square sheet of 1/4 in. Aluminum between the monitors, and grounded it to the chassis of the Sony. It stopped the jitter. My physicist colleague said it should only act as an antenna and not a shield, but it worked for me, I being a mathematician. -- Charlie Neil (chn@lanl.gov) Los Alamos National Laboratory (505) 665-0978
