We just bought a pair of 345 MB drives from Club Mac and are favorably impressed. Each is a Maxtor XT-8380S drive in a DataCase case and with Unimac software and the cable to attach it to the mac. It has two 50-pin SCSI connectors and a switch for selecting the SCSI address all mounted on the back of the case. Physically the case is nicely made, 9.5" wide, 11" deep, 3.5" tall, which, I would guess, is sized for fitting under an SE-style machine. It is quiet, and whenever I've thought to check, the case is cool. The unimac software seems to work just fine, although I haven't had the time to really poke around and run timings tests and such. Seems fast, though. Thus it seems like quite a good drive, and cost only $1755 or thereabouts. Good value for the money. It took Club Mac about a week to deliver the drive, but it was part of a large order, so other items might have caused the delay.
