[comp.sys.mac.hardware] NEC big monitors, are they usable?

jeffb@eleazar.dartmouth.edu (Jeffrey C. Buchsbaum) (12/03/89)

Yet another question on monitors. How do the NEC Multisync 5d and XL
compare to other large screen monitors at 1024X768. Anyone using one with
a macII family box. Are they good/bad....?

Thanks. I am looking for inexpensive alternative for large color system
(circa 19-21").

Even more importantly (to me), what Mac II video cards will drive an NEC
Multisync XL? I have a Mac II and an NEC Multisync XL, but I can't find
anyone who can tell me what video cards will work with these two. Although
color is nice, it's not necessary; I'm more concerned with getting as much
resolution as possible from the monitor (hopefully, 1024 x 768), while keeping
the cost under $1000.

Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks.
