Does anyone have any comments on the CDC/Imprimis "Swift" series of 3.5" hard disks? I'd heard good things about them - 15ms, sizes from 112 to 180 MB formatted, the usual good CDC quality, but I called LaCie. They used to have a couple of hard disk models which used this mechanism, and now they've temporarily stopped selling those models, citing "hardware problems with the manufacturer". Any suggestions as to what's happening? From what I've heard, firmware problems. As you probably know, MicroNet is the biggest OEM from CDC in the Mac market. MicroNet has been working with CDC to fix the firmware problems.
