[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Mac SE/030 with Apple's 13 inch color monitor ??

deepaks@jacobs.CS.ORST.EDU (Deepak Seth) (11/28/89)

Hello,

I am interested in some input from anyone, who has connected a SE/030 to
an Apple 13 inch color monitor (8-bit). How does this attachment,
effect the performance of the machine (screen updates, disk access,
searches, finds etc). Anyone done any speed comparisons?
What is the minimum amount of RAM should be on the machine to provide
<good> ( I use that term very subjectively and looselly :-)) performance
and are there any know incompatiblities or quirks for this configuration.
Since I will be using the SE/030 direct Slot, what kind of connections
and cables will I need and will I need any additional graphics cards
or hardware?

I know this is a lot of questions. Please reply via e-mail. I will
summarize, if I get enough responses.

Thanks for all the replies in advance.

PS: Any idea on how much a used 13 inch color monitor (from Apple) would
cost and how much would be needed to set it up?

cheers,

Deepak Seth

Hi All,

I had posted this article about 2 weeks ago in both comp.sys.mac.hardware
and comp.sys.mac and I have not even received one answer. Please respond
via e-mail and I will summarize if I get enough responses.
