Could someone please enlighten me what RAM configurations are possible in the Macintosh Portable? There are some errors in the Developer Notes for the Portable, therefore I better don't believe whats in there... (It says that Apple will offer 1MB, 3MB and 4MB SRAM cards with which you can have the following amounts of RAM in your 'Riviera': 1, 2, 4 or 5 MB.) A friend of mine told me that Apple is only producing 1 MB and 4 MB modules. Is this right? When will they be available? Another friend of mine told me that you can expand the Portable with up to 9 MB RAM. Does he mean 5 MB of RAM + 4 MB of ROM? Does the user have access to the expanded ROM? In which ways can he use it? Third parties are offering right now 2 MB expansion cards. What's the maximum of RAM (now and in the future)? Can you put in different RAM cards at the same time? One company who is selling those RAM cards right now is PSI. Are there any others? Thanks a lot for any help. Gary Gary T.
