Earlier, I posted a query about extra RAM (around 20 megs) in a Mac SE/30. I got some good advice, and some interesting advice. Thanks to all who replied. Now for a new question. About the same time that I will be acquiring my Mac SE/30, I will also be buying a (top of the line?) LaserWriter II NTX. Now for the questions: 1. I hear tell that you can put extra memory in this LaserWriter. Under what conditions is this noticeable/beneficial? 2. If you can install varying amounts of extra memory, is there any benefit to installing the maximum amount, or some specific partial amount? 3. What are the chances of Apple announcing a "spiffy new super-duper LaserWriter" between now and the end of say April? Would the rumored characteristics of such a beast cause a "wise person" to put off a substantial investment in today's technology? 4. Come to think of it, I also heard tell that you can "hang a hard disk" off the LaserWriter II NTX. If that's true, what are the benefits? Thanks for any input. -- Ed Berard (301) 353-9652
