[comp.sys.mac.hardware] EtherSC availability

cd@ukc.ac.uk (C.Dawson) (12/20/89)

In the past few months, several people have recommended the Kinetics
EtherSC as a way of connecting a Mac Plus to an Ethernet. This seemed
like the way to go for me.

The British distributor (Maxima of Exeter, Devon) tell me that the
product is no longer manufactured.

- Can anyone confirm this?

- Is there another British distributor?

- What is Kinetics U.S. address?

Yes, it's been discontinued.

Well, I guess it doesn't really matter, does it?

I'd suggest looking at the Nuvotech EtherLink SC. It's one third the
price of the Kinetics box, and, from our experience, faster and smaller.
