Thanks everyone for your answers concerning large Mac disk drives (300 meg or so). Lots of people like the Imprimis/Wren series although no one has commented on the performance of Maxtors. Maxtors are good though from what I've heard. Looks like there shouldn't be any problems running a large 300 meg disk on a Mac as long as I partition the disk intelligently. I'm assuming there are public domain or commercial products which will partition Maxtor or Imprimis/Wren drives in case the manufacturer doesn't deliver such software. I have another question for you'all... Are there any problems with the II cx power supplies when loaded with three boards and a full 8 or 32 megabytes of internal memory? I've heard that its easy to overload the IIcx power supply (not to mention the whimped out Plus and SE supplies). Anyone know the straight dope on this? I don't want to buy a IIcx if it can't handle all three slots plus a full compliment of memory! Thanks in advance. I'll post my expereinces and responses to the net when all the dust settles. -- John T.
