I just finnished upgrading 105 Mac plus's to 2.5 Megs for one of our labs, and ran into a little problem. A dozen of them no longer worked. I tested the RAM and ROM on all of them by swapping them in a known good board and they where fine. Thinking that the power might be to low, even though it measured out ok, I swapped bad mother boards with known good analog boards, and they still did not work. I then tried them with only 2 Megs and they worked fine. I was wondering if anybody might know why the boards would not support the full 2.5 Megs, or if anyone else had the same problem. The only visual difference I noticed between the good boards and the bad ones was that all of the bad boards had glass caps on the board, where as 'most' of the good boards did not. Are they just older boards that are past thier prime?
