I'm looking for a 40-45MB removable hard drive for my Mac+, and most of the ones I've found while looking through the latest issue of MacUser are based on the SyQuest mechanism. Are they any good? Do people have any complaints about them? Also, how different are the various drives? I found four different drives using this mechanism, from Cutting Edge, Mirror, PowerDrive, and Ehman. FYI, the PowerDrive was the cheapest at $749, followed by Ehman at $799, Mirror at $849, and Cutting Edge at ~$889. Is this price discrepancy for any good reason? If so, I'd like to know before I buy... Please respond to me via Email at either the address in the header or in the sig. below, or post here. /----------------------------\ /---------------------------------------\ | John Price | BITNET: price@uclaph | | 5-145 Knudsen Hall | Internet: price@uclaph.physics.ucla.edu | | UCLA Dept. of Physics | DECnet: uclapp::jprice | | Los Angeles, CA 90024-1547 | YellNet: 213-825-2259 | \----------------------------/ \---------------------------------------/
