[comp.sys.mac.hardware] CX memory expansion?

To make the Mac II CX 5 MB, are the original 4 256K SIMMs removed and placed in
the empty banks or are the 1 MB SIMMS put in the empty banks and the
256's just kept where they were?

Move the 256K SIMMs to the empty sockets and put the 1 Meg SIMMs where the
256Ks used to be.

As a rule of thumb,RAM BANK A always contains the HIGHEST DENSITY RAM chips.


In other words, you MUST swap the RAM banks on a CX before upgrading from
1 Meg to 5 Megs...
