Friend a mine just blew the flyback transformer on his SE. A friendly tech took a look at it and diagnosed it. Said he would handle the labor for $10 or dinner, but he couldn't just order the part (he works for the Univ. here). What's the standard procedure for getting this part if you don't want to pay for labor? Does anyone have mail-order sources or strategies for dealing with dealers, who after all make their money on labor and aren't about to hand over one of these babies? Best yet: does anybody have a source for a flyback transformer that isn't about to die as easily as this one did? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Pete Gontier | InterNet: 6600pete@ucsbuxa.ucsb.edu, BitNet: 6600pete@ucsbuxa Editor, Macker | Online Macintosh Programming Journal; mail for subscription Hire this kid | Mac, DOS, C, Pascal, asm, excellent communication skills
