[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Is MacSprint II a good bet?

6500stom@hub.UUCP (David Stoms) (01/18/90)

I'm considering buying a MacSprint II card for my Mac II and was
wondering if anyone had any experience with it. Is it compatable
with everything? Will I notice the difference? Where will I notice
the difference the most (graphics, number calc, database, compilers)?

Hi,

I have a MacSprint II. It is an elegant solution, compatible with everything
even 32-bit QD, since they upgraded the software...

The difference is most noticable on screen manipulation! It makes a HUGE
difference on SoftPC, because of the way they do text 'scrolling'.

The only incompatibility I know of is that it doesn't work with Lightspeed C
4.0. This is because their program is not "32 bit clean". I have no idea
when they will get around to fix this.

Does it work with the MacIIx? I am looking for a reasonable way to increase
speed.
Thanks,
