I have an applecrate 40bm hard disk which just yesterday went out to lunch. When I power up the hard disk, I hear the fan turn on, but the familiar grinding noise that I always heard while it "spun up" does not play anymore nor does the green light turn on anymore. I checked the fuse, but it looks like it's solid to me. I assume the fan wouldn't come on if it was the fuse anyway. I suspect the power supply. What do you all think? Any suggestions? This is my personal machine and thus, want the best solution for the lea$t. Thanks everybody. ----------------*---------------------*-------------------*---------------- ...ncr-sd!ncrcae!usceast!hobbes!godawski godawski@hobbes.cs.scarolina.edu -- -- [generic signature] UUCP: ...usceast!calvin!username
