On several occasions my ADB Extended keyboard has gone dead. When I reboot, everything seems fine. What's the problem? Thanks in advance, Rich Robbins

Usually it's after I've gone away and left the Mac alone for a while. -john rieman@boulder.colorado.edu U. of Colo.

If the keyboard loses power, it will die. Check for loose cables. For some reason, the mouse seems to automatically reset when it loses power, but the keyboard doesn't. Generally, it happens to me when I do something crazy, like start a shutdown, change my mind, and hit the PKey to reboot the machine before shutdown turns off my Mac II. Once the keyboard is dead, rebooting does not solve the problem. I have to turn off the computer, then restart it. I'm running system 6.0.3.
