[comp.sys.mac.hardware] which Syquest to buy?

dwade@jarthur.Claremont.EDU (Doug Wade) (02/07/90)

I have the Ehman drive. I was treated very well on the phone, the
drive arrived on the day they said it would, the charge was not posted on
my visa until ship time (They warned me they had a backlog on first contact),
and the drive has worked wonderfully ever since. It's mildly noisy, but
I've heard a lot of drives that were worse.
45 MB removable drives make _wonderful_ backup devices, by the way.

I bought a Syquest drive from APS (Alliance Peripheral Systems) a
month or so ago. Their phone service is the best and friendliest I
have ever experienced. Their drive is the least expensive I have seen
($659.00 + 72.50 for one cartridge = $731.50). It ran perfectly out
of the box, and continues to do so. Their address and phone from an
ad on Connect:
