In the past, I have had no problems sending MS Word files between a Mac SE and an IBM PC using a null modem cable, PROCOMM and Red Ryder. Recently, this has failed to work, and there has been no intentional change in technique or equipment. I send the documents via XMODEM at 9600 bps and now there are many CRC errors and it finally times out. What would you suspect first? The cable is ok, at least it has no shorts and no open connections. ( it did work before too, so the connections were right) The Mac can print to an imagewriter if I connect it to the port, so I suspect that port is ok too. Any other guesses? Thanks --keith
