As you probably know, today, Tuesday, January 28th, 1986, at T-plus
00:01:12, into space shuttle mission 51-L, (The Challenger), the shuttle,
its external fuel tank and the SRB's (solid rocket boosters), exploded in
an unknown (as of now, 3:36, EST), cause. It is feared that all 7 members
of the misson, including the first private citizen to launch, school teacher
Christy McChulloch (sp?), did die in the explosion. Pieces of the shuttls
and components fell for over an hour in a wide area approximately 18 from the
launch site. This is a great tradgey for everybody. Mine, and I'm sure
everybody who reads this group sympathizes with the families and friends
of the crew members of Challenger.
