well folks, maybe someone out there can give me a hand with this problem... i've been trying to find an engraving machine that will interface well with the mac. after searching thru the mac buyers guide i found only one entry and called them to get some info on the machine... after reading the specs on it it seems the base is a bit small (you can only use a working area of around 8" by 16", where 25" by 25" would be nice) ... i had thought about purchasing an engraver that works with an ibm and either using softpc or a nubus board to access it, but that's a last resort... i had also thought of getting some type of data acquasition (sp!!) card/software package and teach it how to control the machine (after making cables and all) ... all these options are just going to cause some type of trouble. isn't there any engraving machine for the mac other than the Camm-2 sold by Roland? anyone with answers please reply or post to the newsgroup, thanks Adrian Sullivan ale101@psuvm.psu.edu better -> axs@psuarch.bitnet
