[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Non-Apple CD ROM on Mac?

km@mathcs.emory.edu (Ken Mandelberg) (03/16/90)

Does anyone have any information on using Non-Apple
CD ROM drives on a Mac?

We have both Suns and Macs, and I wonder if it is possible
to get one drive that could be used on either.

There are many different CD-ROM players available with Macintosh support.
The magazine CD-ROM End User is a good starting place.

I understand that Denon, Toshiba, Hitachi, NEC, Philips and several other
manufacturers make CD-ROM drives that can work with the Macintosh.
