I was looking inside my mac plus today (gotta get rid of dust now and then, you know) and I noticed what looked a lot like enough space for a hard disk under the floppy drive. Now, i actually have a mac 512ke, (whick I like to call a plus, because it really is) and there's a scsi port and cable inside the machine. So, I guess what i really want to know is: what do internal hard drives look like? I guess there's a bunch of pins for the scsi cable. I can handle that. There's probably a place for some power to come in too. I don't know what to do about that. Can you splice off the mac's internal power supply? Has anybody done this before? I've seen mac plus internal hard drives available commercially, but they cost $525, which is hardly worth it. --George "if you can do it the cheap way, and not be sure if it will work, or the SLIGHTLY more expensive way, and be sure, which would you choose, my son?" "THE CHEAP WAY!!"
