[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Syquest Cartridge Reliability?

    Hi All,

       A semi-idle question:  How reliable are the Syquest cartridges? 
    I know someone who has one that had to be inserted four or five
    times before it would mount.  Now it refuses to do much of
    anything.  The cartridge is about 6 months old, but hasn't been
    used much because it was intended for backups.  Needless to say,
    this is not what you want happening to backup disks.
