Just curiosity... I have a Mac+ and a APS quantum 80MB. The HD is now formated at 1:1 interleave. Since the transfer of data in the case of quantum HDs is such that Disk --> HDcache --> SCSI --> Mac RAMcache --> normal Mac RAM I wonder what is the advantage of a 3:1 interleave. Any idea? (the limiting step is HD cache --> SCSI --> Mac, I guess..., not the Disk --> HD cache) Alberto Domingo domingo@BOULDER.COLORADO.EDU ------------------------------------------------------------------
