A friend recently upgraded his SE to an SE/30. The orignial SE had two floppy drives and a hard drive mounted internally. Whereas the SE had two plugs internally for two internal floppies (along with one internal plug for the scsi), the SE/30 has only one internal plug for the floppy drive (along with the one scsi plug). Question: Can two floppy drives be internally plugged into the SE/30 logic board? Currently we have kludged a cable out the back of the SE/30 and connect the second drive to the external plug. This is a fragile setup and we'd like everything to fit inside the case. We have also tried running both drives on a parallel cable but this didn't work (somewhat suprised by this because I believe the old SE plugs were simply wired in parallel - might I be wrong?) Any suggestions or pointers to products would be welcome. Please mail to me and I'll summarize to the net.
