[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Traveling Mac

cs132096@cslab2a.cs.brown.edu (Heng-Yi Lin) (04/14/90)

Afternoon, netters!

I remember a discussion on air travel with the Mac a few months back.
I went back and tried to get a hold of those articles but could not
find any.

Does anyone has a summary of that discussion?

I seem to remember vaguely that you have to demonstrate to the airport
security people that the beast you are carrying is indeed a working
computer, not some kind of bomb device. This is a problem with a
IIcx though- I will not be carrying the monitor along and thus unable
to show the "Welcome to Maintosh" message! What happens then?

Also, I'll be traveling home (Taiwan) with this Mac IIcx comes summer
vacation. Does anyne know what the regulations are pertaining to this
situation?

Any pointers would be grealy appreciated.
