I have a question that I was wondering if someone could answer. The question is that I am trying to hook up a DeskJet Plus to a Mac Plus using MacPrint as the printer driver. I am also using SuperLaserSpool 2.02 which is supposed to be compatible with the DeskJet Plus according to SLS people. The problem is that whenever I try to print anything to the DeskJet Plus, it starts to print very, very slow. I know that when using a Spooler, printing will be slow, but this is so slow, it takes between 7-10 minutes to print out a FileMaker form that only takes up half of the page. When we print without the spooler, we can get output of the same item in less than 4 minutes. Is there any way that we can make it go faster? (We only have one item in the queue, and we left the keyboard and mouse alone) The printer and HD seem to be talking to eachother a lot because the lights are both madly working. Can someone help me speed this thing up? Please reply to: ccm022@deneb.ucdavis.edu and not to the person whom was nice enough to post this message for me. Tim K.
