[comp.sys.mac.hardware] Rodime 100 Plus HD

Arthur.Yuter@f823.n102.z1.FIDONET.ORG (Arthur Yuter) (05/07/90)

Assuming you're totally and recently backed up, I'd try a reformatting
with the LATEST Rodime updater, which I believe is at least v. 2.15
(that's what Rodime sent me several months back; possibility of a newer
version by now). And before the reformatting, I'd call Rodime's tech
support in Boca Raton, Florida @ 407-997-0774. When last I had a problem
with my 140 Plus I found their service persons - particularly one named
Dave - to be extremely knowledgeable, courteous and helpful. At a
minimum, they can tell you the current updater version, and will no doubt
send you the current one if you don't have it. (If it's more recent than
v.2.15, please post a note here, so I can get the new one too!). I
realize that a phone call for you from Texas to Florida may not be
inexpensive, but it will be MUCH less than a shop will charge for a repair
you might be able to do yourself, or talked-through by Rodime's techies.
Good luck, and please post results of developments.
