The title says it all. I am removing a 800K drive from an SE and want to know if I can put it into a Mac XL running under MacWorks Plus from Sun Remarketing. I know they sell an 800K drive especially for the XL, but I'd rather not outlay the cash for it. Are there insurmountable hardware incompatibilities? Please E-mail responses. But you'll need the special ROM from SUN that goes on the I/O module. They do see the ROM seperately for about $30. If you're installing the 800K drive an a LISA, you'll also need to modify the cable that goes to the floppy drive. In a XL, no cable mods are required.
