Hi, Last sunday my internal hard disk started behaving weirdly. It would refuse to boot up. The Mac would boot fine from a floppy. I shook it a little, and the hard disk became ok. But the next reboot, it was back to the bad state. I have tried shaking, but now the drive refuses to mount. I tried SCSI Probe and it finds ID 0 and 7, but never gives any information on the internal hard disk. The hard disk doen't show up on the desktop. After opening the case, I found that the hard disk spins for some time, then the floppy with question mark appears on the mac screen, and the hard disk slowly comes to a halt. The interrupt switch gave the following sad mac code: 0000000F 00000013 My system configuration is as follows: Mac II System 6.0.4 Finder 6.1.4 Seagate ST157NB internal 40 MB hard disk the machine is now out of its warranty days. Does anyone know what is happening? I got a bunch of mail messages from someone who was experiecing similar problems. But, the main difference is that my hard disk spins for a short while before it dies. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Rajiv.
