Anyone out there have experience hooking an IBM 4019 laser printer to a Mac ? (to a IIcx, if it makes a difference). I have a chance of picking one up fairly cheap, but don't know how difficult it would be to get the beast to talk to my Mac (or vice-versa). It looks like a fairly generic 300 dpi laser printer, with HP LJ II emulation built-in, and an option for postscript. Comes with 512k of memory standard, upgradable in 1 meg chunks. If I go for the postscript option, how much memory is needed to make it usable ? How 'bout the LJ II emulation - are there Mac drivers available for the HP LJ II? As you can probably tell from the above, I don't have much of a clue what's involved here. Any help you can give will be appreciated. Thanx. -Nick Wilde (wilde@boulder.colorado.edu)
