I need the opinions of the netters. WE are in the process of putting up a apple fileserver in a pure apple appletalk environment. Everything I have heard says to stick with the basic Mac, External hard drive and a backup system. \ My question is what Mac?(Mid range price) What kind of 40Meg Hard drive? What kind of fileshare software (default will be appleshare) What kind of backup utility? On the backup utility, I would like it to wake up and perform a backup at midnight, or in the wee hours of the morning. I currently have a syquest 42 meg that I would like to backup to for the convience of mounting it as another volume when need be. What software will do this while appleshare is running?
